Forum Thread: A Rather Unusual Network Sniffing Question.

Hello guys, I am doing some testing on network sniffing and network sniffing configurations that can be performed as simple as possible. What I seem to have trouble doing is running an automatic sniffing procedure which is then saved on a file somewhere on a Windows computer. I tried to configure wireshark by typing wireshark -D to get the unique key for my Wi-Fi connection and then make a .bat file with the command wireshark -i {thekey} -k but it does not seem to save and even if I make it run on system startup it won't run until I have logged in. My question is this: Can I make any type of network sniffer to actively sniff packets ALL THE TIME in the background, especially on system boot, so that I check if some files that run on startup perform some sort of communication when the system starts.

Thanks in advance!
Vince
